Asynchronous Delivery of Data
Tens, hundreds or even thousands of queries might be invoked in a very short amount of time in environments with a large number of data sources in Data Virtualization and Data Federation scenarios.
Asynchronous delivery of data and parallel execution of queries are critical in such environments. Parallel execution of these queries improves the response time. Also, several large data sources are usually connected to the Denodo Data Services Platform.
At run time, different calling applications within the Denodo Platform are waiting for data from the information sources. To minimize the wait time, Denodo Platform implements asynchronous delivery with parallel statement execution and response mechanisms so that information coming from data sources can be propagated up to the calling applications as soon as they arrive, in continuous chunks of virtual data.
This enables tools such as Business Intelligence platforms, reporting applications or Data Hub for SOA consumers to start their own processing even if the data source is still returning data.
