Data Lineage
With Denodo Platform , you will never lose trace of where the data your applications are using comes from.
Denodo Data Services Platform provides full data lineage features to:
- Graphically trace how federated data is obtained. Data stewards can see at a single glance how the value of a virtual data field is obtained: what data sources contribute to it and what combinations and transformations are performed to produce the value.
- Easily perform the reverse process to examine how the data from a certain source is used, examining all the federated views that make use of the data.
- A single click updates the virtual data views when there are changes in the underlying data sources; graphically examine the differences between the current and the previous state of the data source before actually updating the federated data views.
- Preview the effects of any change in data sources and/or views definition before executing them.
- Control how changes are propagated: automatically propagate changes to certain views and not to the others.
