Metadata Management
Denodo's strong set of features for metadata management allow easy handling of metadata for federated data and SOA data services. Not only does Denodo come with a metadata catalog that manages all the metadata information in Denodo, it has easy export/import features as well.
For instance, the Denodo Platform allows metadata from information sources and views to be imported graphically as well as through JDBC, ODBC, MDX data warehouses, WSDL for Web Services, and DTD/XML Schema for XML sources. The Denodo Platform also allows metadata information to be easily exported from the Denodo server. It is possible to export metadata for a specific view or schema.
Denodo's metadata information is accessible through JDBC/ODBC, so any external tool can examine any view container in the Platform, along with its related metadata. The platform also provides a graphical tool to manage the metadata catalog. The catalog is stored in an internal fully transactional database which runs embedded into the server.
