The Denodo Data Services Platform can fully participate in load-balancing and clustering environments, enabling high availability for fault-tolerant and efficient architectures.
Denodo’s core engine has been built to be robust, with advanced capabilities such as
- automated data swapping to prevent the system from failing if huge datasets are suddenly received;
- cache to optimize bandwidth and communication with data sources;
- a transactional catalog storage, the most critical asset in the Platform, so metadata (real-time views, virtualized data services layers, users, databases, and so on) is securely and adequately stored and protected
Denodo’s load distribution capabilities can be expanded either horizontally (adding more machines) or vertically (adding more resources to a machine).
Besides, Denodo offers tools for metadata, configuration and data backup which enable you to completely recreate the environment if required.
Denodo’s batch data management is enhanced with a fault tolerant task scheduler. This scheduler stores the state of the batch process so that the state can be restored in case a problem appears during the execution.
