Job Title: Regional Sales Executive

Reporting to: SVP, North America, Denodo Technologies

The Opportunity:

Denodo is recognized as the innovation leader in Enterprise Data Mashups. Denodo was named a “cool-vendor” by Gartner, quoted in “Denodo Leads the Way” by Bloor Research, named by Forrester in “Lead, Don’t follow”. Our positioning and recognition in the market allows us to capitalize on 2 large and growing markets. The first is the already large Enterprise Data Integration / SOA market struggling to make sense of exploding information across enterprise and non-enterprise systems. Denodo provides an offering that is significantly broader in its scope and more agile / cost effective than traditional technologies in this market. The second is the emerging Enterprise 2.0 / Enterprise Mashups market space which Forrester estimates will be a $4.6 billion and a $700 million business by 2013 respectively. Here also, Denodo is recognized as the leading provider of much needed “Mashup Data Services”.

Denodo has a proven product (version 4.5), a satisfied and referenceable enterprise and government customer base, and is financially strong, yet early in its evolution and growing rapidly.

The opportunity for the Regional Sales Executives at Denodo will be to capitalize on this growth for both financial and career gains by demonstrating the ability to drive successful results within a short period of time and take leadership roles to develop a repeatable and leveraged direct / indirect sales model.

Job Description:

We are seeking talented candidates with a proven track record of exceeding goals in software technology sales to join our North America sales team in major US cities as Regional Sales Executives. The ideal candidates should be creative, focused and well-organized individuals, and should leverage their own personal contacts, as well as their knowledge of the software market and superior communication and closing skills to sell Licenses, Support, Training and Consulting for the Denodo's Enterprise Data Mashups Platform product line in the assigned territory and accounts.

The selected candidate will be working closely with experienced Sales and Marketing leadership and be supported by a strong technical team in an ideal, fast paced, rapidly growing startup environment to grow professionally and go beyond expectations.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to direct sales based on agreed criteria.

  • Define and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for the sales department in the assigned territory.
  • Penetrate and develop major strategic accounts and new prospects in chosen business segments in the territory. Perform sales presentations to those prospects, negotiate contacts, and close new business deals.
  • Manage direct sales in assigned territory.

Develop indirect sales network and partnerships.

  • Create a network of finders, resellers and distributors to expand Denodo in assigned territory.
  • Negotiate and close finder, reseller and distributor agreements.
  • Opportunistically develop relationships with the sales team for select third-party software partners.
  • Apply metrics to analyze and track performance of partner initiatives.

Coordinate regional with corporate sales functions and report sales activity.

Develop and support marketing strategies and plans to identify opportunities in territory.

Manage and inspire teammates, developing strong positive relationships within the US sales team and with the worldwide sales organization.

Skills Required:
 

7+ years of results-driven software sales experience.

Sales experience in the enterprise software market, dealing with middleware and with data and application integration solutions around ETLs, Data Warehouses, Data Bases, CRMs, ERPs, and content management tools.

Very computer literate and internet savvy with a good understanding of Web-based technologies.

Capable of managing all aspects of the sales cycle from cold-calling prospects to negotiating enterprise-wide contracts.

Proven ability to create and leverage a reseller channel network.

 

Ability to present technical concepts and business solutions clearly through demonstrations and proposals.

 

Good organizational, prospecting and follow-up skills.

 

Effective verbal and written communication.

 

Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline, computer science or engineering with an MBA preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Compesations: DOE - Consisting of Base, Commission and Incentives
