Job Title: Sales Engineer

Job Description:

Presales:
 

· Assisting in defining business problem, technical requirements and overall solution.
· Present and demonstrate Denodo's product offerings at customers and marketing events.
· Perform proof of concepts.
· Create demos and relevant technical collateral.
· Provide technical response to RFPs and RFIs such as architecture, interface requirements and scope of
  work for Professional Service projects

Post sales:
 

· Install Denodo at client sites.
· Provide post sales technical support.
· Provide professional services and training.

Communicate customer product feedback to development, marketing, and professional services teams inside Denodo.

Skills Required:
 
5+ years of experience in any the following enterprise software industries: EAI, ETL, Data Warehouse, Databases, Content Management, BI and Portal Infrastructure.
Technical expertise:

1.- Architectures

   · Relational Databases: knowledge and use of common commercial databases (scripts loading, SQL
     queries, creation of data models). Knowledge of relational algebra.
   · XML expertise, and, in general, in hierarchical structures.
   · Web Services (and their use in SOA Service-Oriented Architectures-).
   · Web architectures in general, and some experience with distributed architectures.

2.- Programming

   · Java
       - Development of basic web applications
       - Development of basic backend applications
       - Use of 3rd party packages
       - Knowledge of J2EE technologies: RMI (communications), JDBC (databases), XML access (with
         XMLSchema and DTD), and Struts (MVC model).
       - HTML + Javascript
       - Desired: Knowledge of Open Source technologies (e.g. Eclipse BIRT for Business Reporting).

3.- Desired: basic understanding of web design tools and techniques.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
