Denodo and ISDEFE are developing a demonstrator of a Technology Watch System in the defense & security areas.

The objective of this project is to assess the utility of the new mediators or virtual database technologies to automate the monitoring of technological evolution in any domain, especially in the defense and security fields. A new demonstrator will be developed with this purpose, and it will be transferred to the Spanish Defense Ministry for its evaluation.

The demonstrator based on the Denodo Platform will not only provide services to efficiently monitor all the information from patents, publications, specialized papers, forums, news, products, etc., but also all the facilities to administrate the tool.

The desirable results of this collaboration between Denodo and ISDEFE try to confirm the interesting possibilities of the EII technologies in ISDEFE's main clients (Department of Defense and of the Interior), both with regard to monitoring technological areas and to automating the integration of threatening information obtained from multiple sources with heterogeneous formats.

This project is co-funded by the Department of Science and Technology (PROFIT program) and by the Department of Defense as a COINCIDENTE program.
