Denodo develops a system for the generation of semi-structured views over Web information sources

Another of the R&D projects that Denodo is developing, and which results will be available at the end of the year, consists in the construction of a system for generation of wrappers for semi-structured data, emphasizing the case of Web sources.

The wrappers are programs able to offer structured views over sources with semi-structured data, as Web sources.

This system will allow non-programmer users create wrappers in a rapid and easy manner. Besides, the system will be capable of detecting changes produced in the sources and regenerating the wrapper automatically, without human intervention, for a wide range of cases.

The software developed in this project will allow to improve the specialization of applications in fields such as Technology Watch. Due to the capabilities of automatic structure of information, an organization will be able to manage wide volumes of semi-structured data available in the Web as structured data, that is, as extensions of its systems of corporate DataBases.
