Denodo develops Single Customer View solution for EMETEL

Through a portal, users of EMETEL’s EMETIC service can access integrated real-time information on services contracted

Madrid, October 5, 2005. Denodo Technologies, a firm developing technology for real-time integration of information, has announced the development of a Single Customer View system for a new service to be launched on the market by EMETEL, a company specializing in network engineering and communications.

EMETEL was founded in A Coruña in 1994, and it now operates in both the Galician and Spanish markets providing networking and communications solutions for SMEs as well as large companies and institutions. During the month of October, the company will roll out EMETIC, a new service created specifically for SMEs, offering comprehensive solutions in information technologies and communications.

Denodo’s Single Customer View contributes added value to EMETIC
EMETIC will offer both its customers and associated firms (distributors) a report aggregation system that will enable both the final customer and the distributor to easily manage and monitor the service.

To do this, Emetel has turned to the services of Denodo, which will develop a Single Customer View solution. This solution will automate access to both internal Web sites and suppliers in order to gather information of all kinds and to automatically perform management operations for the service contracted.

With this solution, EMETEL customers and suppliers will have real-time access through a Web portal, with a single view, to all the EMETIC services they have contracted. The Single Customer View solution also enables EMETEL distributors’ access via SSO (Single Sign On) to a B2B tools and check all service orders associated with a particular customer as well as all related details.

To develop a solution for EMETEL, Denodo started with ITPilot, the only tool for the extraction and structuring of information from dynamic Webs sources now on the market and one of the products, together with Denodo Virtual DataPort and Denodo Aracne, comprising the leading EII suite in Europe.

Denodo IT Pilot extracts the desired information on outsourced services from EMETEL supplier Web sites. Specifically, it enables automation of any type of browsing of Web sources and extracts the information needed.
