Denodo Technologies, recognized as one of the leading firms in the EII market
·
The US consulting firm highlighted Denodo's technology for integration of
Web data
· Firm estimates EII market's huge growth potential at 50% this year with $600 million in income
Madrid, September 28, 2005. Denodo Technologies, a developer
of solutions for real-time integration of information, has been
recognized by the US integration specialists Infostructure Associates
as one of the leaders in the market of Enterprise Information
Integration (EII).
In the report, entitled New Trends in Enterprise Information
Integration, Infostructure Associates analyzes the dominant trends in
EII and assesses the potential growth of the market.
For the Denodo general manager, Anastasio Molano, "it is a privilege
for one of the most prestigious consulting firms, which issues an
annual report on the integration market, to recognize us as one of the
leading actors in EII and, after examining our technology, to make
such a positive assessment."
Denodo's Web integration capacity, among the most highly-valued
Of the main advantages of Denodo's EII technology, the consulting firm
emphasizes its capacity for Web integration, since it can search and
integrate information from the Hidden Web. In the words of the report:
"At present, no other major EII provider offers the same breadth of
Web integration support."
This feature places Denodo on the cutting edge of EII owing to the
importance of the industry today, for, according to Infostructure
Associates, "a large amount of on-line information is hidden in
dynamic Web sites and standard search engines never find it." The
consulting firm believes that the Hidden Web contains between 1,000
and 2,000 times that found on the Web surface.
The integration of information from the Web also ranks Denodo among
the EII market actors that have evolved towards Extended EII or
Universal EII, a concept the consulting firm defines as "the capacity
of an EII tool to access any type of information or data source,
including structured, semistructured (particularly Web applications
and Web Services) and unstructured data," which it identifies as one
of the leading trends in the field.
For Infostructure Associates, the Denodo platform "is an outstanding
example of an Extended EII tool." The firm's assessment is based on
version 3.0, which is the result of a substantial investment in R&D
aimed at real-time integration of information from multiple sources,
both internal and external to companies (Web). Some leading Spanish
companies are already using Denodo technology, and now Denodo's plans
call for launching its products on the US market.
Market with large growth potential
As regards growth in the EII market, the firm forecasts that in 2005
it will rise 50% worldwide, with business volume totaling $600 million.
Projections for the next two years foresee a volume in the EII market
of $800 million in 2006 and of $1 billion in 2007, which amounts to
growth percentages of 33 and 25%, respectively.
In terms of geographic areas, the consulting firm notes that owing to
its idiosyncratic IT infrastructures, the United States continues to
account for the bulk of sales in the market. Nevertheless, it points
out that the European and Asian markets are seeing quicker growth.
A technology with a wide variety of applications
The report also reviews most common EII technology applications used
in companies. It highlights Single Customer View, Competitive
Intelligence, Control Panels, Business Intelligence, integration of
business processes and development of corporate portals, among others.
