iDeTra: new partner of Denodo Technologies
Innovation Management Services Consulting Company will be partner in the area of Competitive Intelligence
Madrid, February 14, 2006. Denodo Technologies, a company
specializing in real-time information integration, has announced the
incorporation of iDeTra as a new partner in its distribution channel.
iDeTra will sale Denodo’s Competitive Intelligence solutions.
This new incorporation strengthens Denodo’s business strategy aimed at
boosting its indirect sales channel, giving it greater weight vis-ŕ-vis
the direct channel. As Denodo’s Sales Director Antonio Matarranz, said:
“One of the company’s key objectives is to partner with leaders in
segments where we are competing so as to offer our customers better
service and broaden the distribution of our solutions. The
incorporation of iDeTra contributes directly to achieving this goal.
Finally, we highly valued its broad experience in providing innovative
services.”
Since 1995, iDeTra has performed services to European firms involved
in processes of R&D&I, public and private entities related to
sustainable regional development through technological innovation. In
recent years, iDeTra has been working on defining advanced R&D&I
consulting services for companies as its own line of research and
development. iDeTra’s internal R&D is particularly focused on the
following domains: Semantics, Integration of Services and Management
Services, Semantics in the development of Technology Watch and
Competitive Intelligence and Services Management and Integration
Services, all focused on business and institutional R&D&I processes.
In this context, iDeTra needs technology partners like Denodo. iDeTra’s
General Manager, Luis del Pozo, has stated that “Specializing in
Competitive Intelligence, for us it was basic to work with one of the
leading suppliers of this type of technology. We are very excited with
our partnership with Denodo.”
Competitive intelligence, one of the main applications of real-time
information integration
Competitive Intelligence has become one of the primary means for
companies to follow needs and trends in the marketplace and to
discover new business opportunities. These solutions provide them with
real-time information on new technologies related to company products,
regulatory changes affecting the industry, products and prices of the
competition, scientific advances in specialized media, competitors,
clients and suppliers alliances and mergers, important industry news,
trade fairs and events or grants and subsidies.
One of the main challenges companies have to face in getting
information is that, despite the fact that data is available on the
Internet, performing these tasks manually requires a large amount of
time and resources. Moreover, companies do not have the tools to
access a great deal of this information, since it is spread among
heterogeneous sources.
Denodo has developed the EII platform (Enterprise Information
Integration) that enables real-time access to this information and
which stands out above the competition because it is the only platform
that integrates data from any source on the Internet: everything from
dynamic Web sites to Web services, including RSS feeds, all regardless
the data’s format and structure. Its Competitive Intelligence solution
can also automate information searches and update the information.
According to Matarranz, “By having this information in real time,
organizations can increase their reaction capacity and make better
informed decisions more quickly, thus boosting their competitiveness.”
