Denodo Free Trial FAQs 8.0
What is the “Denodo Standard 8.0 Free Trial” and what does it offer?
The free trial provides the opportunity to test and validate the Denodo Standard 8.0 for up to 30 days in the Cloud. It’s a mechanism for helping you to better understand the capabilities and benefits of Denodo data virtualization with a trial to the full product capabilities of Denodo Standard 8.0. You are able to launch and test Denodo Standard 8.0 on your cloud environment, using your own data. Denodo Standard 8.0 free trial can be run on your choice of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud, Microsoft Azure Cloud or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) marketplaces.
Are there any costs associated with running the free trial, and do I need to create an account on AWS or Azure or GCP?
The Denodo Standard 8.0 free trial is instantiated under a user's cloud account, so a cloud hosting account is required. The Denodo Standard 8.0 license is completely free for 30 days. The user only pays for the infrastructure costs (such as VMs or EC2 instances) that the Denodo trial will be installed and run on, which is usually a couple of dollars per hour depending on the type of instance you choose to run it on. Users are able to work with their own data sources and targets. There is access to Denodo community support as needed and Denodo expert help if you register for the trial.
How long does the free trial last and can it be extended?
Free trial licenses are available for 30 calendar days from the time of trial start. The expectation is that you have basic to intermediate knowledge of data virtualization and Denodo data virtualization in general to be most productive. If you want to discuss your trial or request a possible extension, please contact us.
What are the next steps after completing the free trial?
A free trial is meant to provide you with an opportunity to get a better understanding of Denodo and experience trying Denodo’s data virtualization in the cloud for evaluation purposes.
Once you complete the trial period, you can continue with Denodo Standard 8.0 pay-as-you-go subscription on your cloud marketplace of choice. You can find more information about the AWS subscription options here. For Microsoft Azure subscription options are available here. For Denodo Google Cloud Platform subscriptions, click here.
Does the free trial automatically convert into a paid subscription?
Yes, Denodo Standard 8.0 free trial is integrated with and offered via our partner cloud marketplaces. Denodo uses the cloud marketplace free trial options to offer our free trials. After your 30 day free trial period ends, if you continue to use Denodo Standard 8.0, you will pay on an hourly basis for the Denodo license. This allows you to leverage any work you did during the free trial to jump start your project. You can also request an annual pricing/subscription via private offer option on the cloud marketplace.
