The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative SDR/BDR to join our growing team in Australia. This role is focused on outbound sales prospecting and cold calling, generating qualified opportunities for our enterprise sales team.
The position may be based in Melbourne or Sydney, depending on the successful candidate’s location.
You will work closely with our Sales and Marketing teams to identify and engage prospective enterprise customers. The ideal candidate is a high achiever who demonstrates resilience, curiosity, and a strong work ethic, with the drive to consistently exceed targets in a fast-paced B2B environment.
This is a full-time role reporting to the BDR manager and dotted line to the RVP.
Individuals who thrive in this position continuously challenge themselves to improve outreach strategies, refine messaging, and build strong prospect relationships that contribute to long-term revenue growth.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calls, email, and social selling to generate new sales opportunities.
Research and identify target accounts and key decision-makers within enterprise organizations.
Engage prospects to uncover business challenges, qualify needs, and identify opportunities where Denodo solutions can deliver value.
Clearly articulate the Denodo value proposition and effectively introduce our products to potential customers.
Craft compelling outreach messages and email campaigns that generate interest and drive engagement.
Schedule qualified meetings and discovery calls for the enterprise sales team.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to optimize outreach campaigns, messaging, and lead qualification processes.
Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions and activities in CRM systems (Salesforce).
Consistently meet or exceed activity metrics and pipeline generation targets.
Desired Skills & Experience
2–5 years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Inside Sales, or telemarketing within enterprise software, SaaS, or high-tech industries.Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Demonstrated success in cold calling, outbound prospecting, and lead generation.
Strong phone presence and objection-handling skills.
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to senior-level executives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Highly results-driven, resilient, and motivated to exceed targets.
Strong listening skills and ability to uncover customer pain points.
Comfortable using CRM systems (Salesforce) and sales engagement tools.
Ability to adapt quickly, think on your feet, and thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
Nice to Have
Experience selling or prospecting into enterprise IT, data, or cloud technology environments.
Familiarity with social selling platforms such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Experience leveraging employee advocacy and social media to support prospecting and brand engagement.
Understanding of enterprise data architecture or information infrastructure.
