Opening Statement from Senior Management

Denodo Technologies Limited (for the purposes of this statement "Denodo") is committed to ensuring that our business and supply chain reflects our values and respect for human rights.  We are committed to improving our practices to combat modern slavery and human trafficking.

Our organisational structure and our business operating model

The Denodo Group (the "Denodo Group") is a market-leading provider of data virtualisation services.  Denodo is part of the wider Denodo Group and our ultimate parent company is Denodo Technologies. Denodo Technologies has its head office in Silicon Valley, USA.  The Denodo Group employs people and operates in Singapore, India, Australia, Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, Germany, the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, and the USA.

Our business operating model is to develop our technology and services in house and sell them either directly to businesses, or through third party resellers.  We also provide some ongoing support services to our customers which may be supplied through our authorised partners.

Our policies in relation to slavery and human trafficking

As part of Denodo's commitment to combatting modern slavery and human trafficking, we have implemented the following policies designed to ensure that the way we operate internally and externally is reflective of our commitment to acting ethically and in line with the principles and standards we hold ourselves to. We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business.

Denodo has in place a Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy which set out the standards of professionalism and integrity to be maintained in all of Denodo’s operations worldwide. This includes a requirement to respect the human rights of everyone associated with Denodo and a prohibition on using forced or child labour. The Ethics Policy also sets out Denodo's whistleblowing process for our employees to raise any concerns they may have in relation to compliance with our legal obligations, including in relation to modern slavery and human trafficking, and to ensure that there is adequate protection for employees who "blow the whistle"

Our due diligence processes

We have taken steps to identify, assess, and monitor potential areas of risk in relation to our business and supply chains. We expect our contractors, suppliers and other business partners to work towards meeting the same high standards as we do, by ensuring all employees and workers are treated with dignity and respect in a fair and ethical environment and in accordance with applicable law.

Assessing and managing risk

We have taken steps to identify, assess, and monitor potential areas of risk in relation to our business and supply chains. We include terms in our contracts with suppliers which require compliance with applicable law, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

In addition, employees who violate Denodo's policies, as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy, are likely to be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

Training

To maintain internal accountability, all relevant personnel are trained to recognise environment, health, safety, and labour/worker concerns, including issues relating to slavery, human trafficking and forced labour, and to report and investigate all suspicions of improper conduct at all suppliers globally. Our legal and compliance team is aware of and trained in the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act. We also intend to train other relevant employees to reinforce our policy and the steps to be taken in the event of any concerns..

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Denodo's slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 2023.
