Moving to a Modern Cloud-Based Data Infrastructure
Through these years of growth, the distributor also started to come up against the limitations of a mainframe-based data infrastructure that had been supporting the company for over 30 years. Data access was both time-consuming and complex, inhibiting data self-service by business users and hindering overall agility. In addition, the company gained new forecasting capabilities, accelerated time-to-insight, and built a system for provisioning parts and vehicle inventory data over APIs, in real time, for increased revenue.
