TITLE:  Before You Trust That AI App, Here’s What You Need to Know

ABSTRACT:  The principle of "Garbage In, Garbage Out" is a fundamental reality for AI applications. But how can we assess the accuracy of an AI's output? When an AI model is trained on a dataset that contains inherent biases and inaccuracies, the responses it generates may be considered accurate only within the scope of the data it has been exposed to. One of the most pressing challenges is the level of confidence with which AI systems, such as chatbots, deliver their responses. This underscores the growing importance of data ethics in AI development.

It is incumbent upon data management professionals to ensure that data is compliant, ethical, well-curated, and accessible to AI applications. The trustworthiness of AI systems can only be improved when they are provided with carefully curated, accurate context and content. But can we truly place our trust in AI applications?
