The Estonian government agency responsible for producing official statistics in Estonia is a part of the Ministry of Finance. With approx. 320 employees in Tallinn, Statistics Estonia wanted to start moving data to another database engine. Denodo Platform was chosen for its data virtualization capabilities which delivered beyond expectations during a POC. Statistics Estonia query data with R for big, advanced queries, and use Denodo Data Catalog. Now the company is looking forward to providing access to external statisticians, analysts and data scientists, and considers Denodo for this use case.
