Denodo GenAI Hackathon (Q4 2025)
Participation Terms
Participation in the Denodo GenAI Hackathon is governed by the following terms and conditions. By clicking “Accept,” you (“Participant” or “you”) acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms.
Eligibility
- Open to individuals aged 18 or older.
- Participants may register individually or as part of a team.
- Employees of Denodo and their immediate family members are not eligible
- Employees of Denodo Partners may participate in the Hackathon, but are not eligible to receive the Individual Prizes set forth below. Other prizes may be available to such employees - please contact cloud.solutions@denodo.com for more information.
Entry Requirements
- All projects must use Denodo’s SaaS platform, Agora, as a core component of their project.
- Submissions must be original work created during the hackathon period.
- Each team may submit only one entry.
Hackathon Timeline
- Registration opens: 15 September 2025
- Hackathon starts: 3 November 2025 - 28 November 2025
- Submission deadline: 28 November 2025 @ 11:59PM PST (subject to extension by Denodo in its sole discretion)
- Judging period: 29 November 2025 - 3 December 2025
- Winners announced: 4 December 2025
Submission Guidelines
- Submit your entry via the submission method to be shared by Denodo prior to the deadline.
- Your submission (“Submission”) must include the following materials:
- Project description
- Presentation deck (5–10 slides maximum) – include the problem statement, solution overview, technical approach/architecture diagram, and business impact/value
- Demo video (maximum 5 minutes)
- URL to your public code repository – include clear instructions to test your project
- URL to a live app or deployed solution (if applicable)
- Participants must comply with all terms of use, rules, regulations, and other requirements applicable to the tools used to develop the project, the dataset(s) utilized, and the submission of the foregoing.
Judging Criteria
- Projects will be evaluated based on:
- Innovation: Solving a real-world problem with clear business impact
- Best Use of Agentic AI: Demonstrating tool/LLM integration and automation
- Ease of Use & Integration: Eff ective use of Denodo and AWS services in a hybrid cloud environment
- Judges’ decisions are fi nal.

Prizes
- Individual Prizes (available to individuals or teams which are not affi liated with Denodo Partners):
- 1st Place: USD $10,000 cash prize
- 2nd Place: USD $5,000 cash prize
- 3rd Place: Choice of one of the following prizes:
- NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit
- Oura Ring 4
- Meta Quest 3 VR Headset
- Dinner for two at a Michelin-star restaurant in your city
- Prizes are non-transferable and may be subject to tax reporting.

Intellectual Property
- Participants retain ownership of their Submission.
- By entering, Participants grant Denodo an irrevocable, unrestricted, worldwide, and royalty-free license to use, re-use, copy, reproduce, modify, publish, display, and promote the Submission for marketing, promotional, or any other legal purposes. Such use of the Submission by Denodo may be made through any medium actual or future, and in any and all media now or hereafter known. Additionally, You hereby waive any right to inspect or approve Denodo's use of the Submission.
- All works of authorship you develop must be original. Any third-party software, external works and AI-generated work included in your project must be clearly acknowledged and properly referenced.
- Denodo will provide participants with access to an Agora environment hosted by Denodo, along with a Virtual Database (Virtual DB) for use during the hackathon. Participants may choose to work with sample data provided by Denodo or use their own sample data.
- If a participant elects to use their own sample data, they represent and warrant that:
- They either own the data or have obtained all necessary rights and licenses to use it for the purposes of the hackathon.
- The data does not contain any personal data (as defi ned under the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) or proprietary/confi dential information belonging to any third party.
Privacy & Publicity Consent
- By participating in the hackathon, you hereby consent to Denodo’s use of your name, image, likeness, audio-visual information such as video or voice recordings and any other personal information included as part of the submission in press releases, promotional materials, and other public communications, without additional compensation. This includes publication on Denodo’s website, social media channels, and other media outlets.
Code of Conduct
- Participants must adhere to a respectful and inclusive environment. Harassment, discrimination, or unethical behavior will result in disqualifi cation.
- Participants must adhere to
- Collaboration and knowledge sharing are encouraged, but plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Denodo and its affi liates, offi cers, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with participation in the hackathon, including but not limited to:
- Technical failures of any kind (e.g., network, hardware, software)
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of submissions
- Loss or corruption of data
- Personal injury or property damage resulting from participation or prize use
- Denodo does not make any warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of Agora platform or any third-party services used during the event.
- Participation in the hackathon is at the participant’s own risk. Nothing in these rules shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Denodo and its affi liates, offi cers, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with participation in the hackathon, including but not limited to:

- This contest is governed by the laws of California, USA.
- Void where prohibited.
- Denodo reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest at any time.
