Denodo Announces Winner of Inaugural Data Innovation Award

Palo Alto, CA, November 20, 2018 - Denodo, the leader in data virtualization, today announced the winner of the first Data Innovation Award during its annual Datafest conference in New York. The Denodo Data Innovation Award recognizes client companies that have exemplified the best uses of data virtualization for innovative digital disruption. Logitech, Indiana University, and McCormick have each demonstrated innovative data applications for use cases such as natural language processing, machine learning, incorporating blockchain for food quality assurance, and enhancing enterprise wide decision support. 

The winner of the Data Innovation Award 2018 is:

Logitech, for cloud migration and modernization.

The two finalists are:

Indiana University, for its enterprise wide decision support initiative.

McCormick, for its exemplary use of machine learning and blockchain.

All nominations were evaluated by some of the best minds and subject matter experts in data management, based on criteria such as business impact, technical impact, and return on investment. The three finalists were chosen from numerous other applicants. All three finalists presented their use cases to a panel of experts, comprised of renowned analysts, leaders in data management, and other subject matter experts, who voted to select the winner of the Denodo Data innovation Award 2018. All three finalists received special recognition from Denodo CEO Angel Viña.
