Your mission will be to identify business deals by contacting potential customers in the Federal region and other territories as assigned; exploring opportunities with C-Level, managing your leads, prospecting and supporting marketing programs, both online and offline.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
As a Business Development Representative, you will successfully employ a combination of excellent communication skills and technical knowledge to engage with potential customers.
Main responsibilities for this position are:
- Outreach to people via phone and e-mail.
- Effectively introduce and represent the Denodo product.
- Accurately process leads, profiles and appointments.
- Provide support to the sales team.
- Schedule and make follow up calls.
- Report issues or concerns to the team leader.
- Perform research.
- Accurately update Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software with customer data.
Desired Skills & Experience
Required Experience:
- A results-oriented mind set
- 2-5 years of experience in federal sales, business development with enterprise software or high-tech products and services
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Superior outbound calling, prospecting and lead generation skills
- Strong ability to explain concepts and superior listening, phone and written communication skills
- The ability to lead prospects to understand how our solution can solve their paint points and deliver value to their business
- Sincere interest in people and a high degree of comfort communicating with senior level executives via various mediums (social, email, phone and video)
- The patience and persistence required to make multiple attempts to reach a target
- A keen ability to think on your feet, learn quickly, and embrace changes
- Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce.com) and good computer skills
- Good foundation to understand and learn IT technologies and enterprise information infrastructure
- Respect for discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and multi-task
- Nice to have experience in leveraging Employee Advocacy and Social Media to network with industry peers, share thought leadership content, and enhance brand visibility to support sales engagement and relationship building
