This heavy equipment manufacturer wanted to scale data access across the enterprise and securely leverage generative AI (GenAI), but faced the challenges of extensive reporting latency; complex, error-prone data access processes; and excessive exposure to data security and governance risks. The company needed a modern, scalable data platform that could provide greater autonomy to business teams, facilitate strict regulatory compliance, and provide the ability to more effectively leverage AI for productivity gains.
To meet this need, the company implemented an AWS cloud infrastructure with a high-performance AI data layer from Denodo on top of it. The company also leveraged the Denodo AI SDK, which converted natural language questions into optimized SQL/VQL queries and Model Context Protocol (MCP), to expose tool calls natively to front-end LLM applications.
As a result, the company accelerated query performance, saved time, mitigated risk, and eliminated unnecessary latency for end users. The company achieved 95% accuracy in natural-language-to-SQL mapping, a significant improvement from before, and reduced time-to-insight by 98%.
