The Denodo Platform for AWS

Accelerate time-to-insight and data services with a modern data integration, management, and delivery platform on AWS

Distributed data silos make it difficult for organizations to use all their data, so they make decisions using only a partial view of the facts. The Denodo Platform enables you to create a centralized, logical data platform that decouples data access from the complexities of the underlying data sources, regardless of where the data resides, to make business-friendly views of all enterprise data. IT can now deliver a flexible data architecture that empowers business users to connect to a single location for real-time access to quality data and provides the security team with a centralized point for monitoring and managing all data access.

The Denodo Platform for AWS is available via four subscription tiers: Denodo Professional is an entry-level subscription designed to help you get started with data virtualization. Denodo Standard provides data virtualization to your entire company, while Denodo Enterprise and Enterprise Plus provide logical data fabric solutions that take data virtualization to advanced levels. More details on the various subscription tiers can be found here.

Denodo’s native connectivity with Amazon Redshift and other on-premise and cloud data sources helps companies integrate petabyte-scale data in real-time by leveraging Denodo’s performance optimizer. Denodo’s advanced optimizer pushes down as much processing as possible to Amazon Redshift in order to improve the overall performance.

Included in the Denodo Platform’s out-of-the-box connectivity to 150+ cloud and on-premises data sources is optimized connectivity with the following AWS services:

Key Use Cases

Hybrid/Multi-Cloud Data Integration

AWS offers 15+ purpose-built engines to support diverse data models. Additionally, you have departmental projects adopting SaaS applications at an ever-increasing pace, and your organization still need to maintain their on-premises systems that are vital to business operations. In a hybrid/multi-cloud environment, the need for data integration has never been greater. The Denodo Platform for AWS offers a single logical point to seamlessly query and combine data in real-time, using any business intelligence (BI) or reporting tool, regardless of where the source data is stored.

Self-Service BI

Business intelligence (BI) and data analytics are front and center for every successful company. However, many users need help finding and accessing the data they need, so they rely on IT staff. The Denodo Platform’s data catalog bridges the gap between the technical data infrastructure and business users. It provides search, and collaboration capabilities and data exploration wizards. It’s the perfect companion for the virtual layer, to empower those self-service initiatives with minimal IT intervention. It gives business users the tool to generate their insights with proper security, governance, and guardrails.

Data Services

The distributed nature of data today means that data is stored in various systems, on-premises, in the cloud, and in hybrid deployments. This adds complexity for data consumers, as access methods and data formats vary greatly. The Denodo Platform for AWS can expose data services that simplify access to various data sources through a unified set of access methods. These methods include JDBC/ODBC (SQL), OData, Restful, GraphQL, and GeoJSON. For developers building applications that need access to data, they now have a standard interface to quality data, in a standard format, regardless of where that data may reside.
